Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is a game that will remind players of Ghost of Tsushima, with fluid graphics and an immersive combat system sure to grab the attention of even the most advanced action-adventure gamers. Choose from one of five phases in the game to build your combat style around, and grow your character through gathering Genuine Qi, which works similar to experience points from other games. Bring in your friends to help fight the hardest enemies in the game, and acquire the many different powerful abilities and upgrades available for your character along the way!
There are plenty of side quests and missions in this game that are either fun to collect, or help to boost your progress in the game. One of these is the chest located in the Yellow Heaven Burns, which we will cover in this guide on finding that collectible in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty.

How Do You Get the Collectible in the Yellow Heaven Burns?
There are a couple of things that you’ll need to do in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty before you can access the Yellow Heaven Burns side quest. Firstly, you will need to have completed Two Chivalrous Heroes, and then we also recommend that you are at least level 10 before taking on this mission. Without further ado, here are the steps to finding the collectible in the Yellow Heaven Burns. First off though, we will cover how to find the other Marking Flags that lead up to this chest!
Where is the First Marking Flag?
After you start off, take out the patrolling soldier on the road as soon as possible. There is an archer on a wooden platform to your left which you should shoot with your bow, and also don’t forget to take out other enemies on the platforms. Head into the temple and take out the Yellow Turban in there before going to the temple’s side room where the first Marking Flag is.
How About the Second?
You can obtain 1 Rank One Leather by destroying wooden boxes in the temple’s primary room. Now make your way to the roof through some quick parkour by jumping up to the roof, and then turn right to find another Rank One Leather. There is an enemy at the top of the roof to take out, and then once you climb up the wooden platform there you will be able to activate the second Marking Flag.
Where’s the Third Flag?
After this, you’ll have to take out a bunch of Yellow Turbans, which you can get to by heading down the lower roof and the wooden platform there. Head towards the watch tower and shoot the enemy there, and grab a Treasure Chest which is being protected by a captain. Once you have looted the chest run back to the wooden platform and you will find a third Marking Flag which is located at the very end of the bridge there.
How Can You Find the Fourth Marking Flag?
The fourth Marking Flag will require you to retrace your steps, but make sure to stay on top of the wooden platforms. You will be able to see an enemy patrolling on the suspended bridge, and another hostile which is on top of the second temple. There is also a guard dog standing at attention near the gate. Take down the archer on the temple’s roof and the enemy on the bridge before eliminating the pesky guard dog from your vantage point.
Now you are safe to drop back to the ground, which will put you right in front of the second temple. There is a loot spot on the left side, and after grabbing that head to the roof’s top level and make sure you don’t forget to activate the fourth Marking Flag.
What Do You Need to Do to Find the Fifth Marking Flag?
Return to the place where you grabbed that loot spot while looking for the fourth Marking Flag, and walk along above the terrace. Shoot the enemy or attack him from behind when you see the guard who is guarding the area while you walk. The fifth Marking Flag is fairly simple because it is right along the Marking Flag, but there are also some crates inside the temple that you will want to grab that are being guarded by a captain. Take him out to get the rewards of one Rank 1 Steel and a Great Wooden Hammer.
How Do You Find the Collectible and Marking Flags 6-7?
- Firstly, you will need to arrive at the second Battle Flag in this mission, which you can get to by clearing the second temple and journey onwards until you arrive in front of another leader.
- After that, continue left until you come upon a cave which you will need to go through until you arrive at Marking Flag 6.
- Next, head back to the Battle Flag and climb the ledges that you saw earlier.
- Keep running down the path you will find until you encounter a Changgui enemy.
- Either defeat this hostile or run past it and find a chest that contains Dragon Vein Essence, the collectible for the Yellow Heaven Burns.
- Marking Flag 7 needs you to return towards the Battle Flag and walk down the hill, where you can collect a Rank 1 Steel.
- Enter the canyon you’ll come across, but watch out for two guard dogs and an archer who are lying in wait for you!
- Take out these enemies and then enter the cave, looking in the second tunnel which is on your left to find the last Marking Flag. Take out the enemies on the lower floor of the cave to finish the mission!
- Congratulations, all you have to do now is defeat Bo Cai in this mission!
