Collecting All Notes in The Bunker Made Me Feel Like I’d End Up Duetting With Beaufoy – But I Couldn’t Stop

The Roman Tunnels calls my name as the Collector of my comrades' nightmarish memories

The true story of the Bunker is told inside the Notes you find across your journey. Without them, you will not understand what previous events to place here that left the Bunker to ruin. The identity of the Beast will remain unknown and you may get lost inside, condemning yourself to the same fate that took some of your comrades. The Notes not only outline where you need to go but, they provide important context to the Bunker itself. Who are all of the burnt corpses that lie, wasting away to the Rats that scavenge their bodies? Learning the tales of the Bunker had me feeling that the journey into its core via the Roman Tunnels would leave me endlessly roaming around with the same hallucinations that Beaufoy sees. I started to wonder, would I begin to Whirl the World? This is Vincent’s guide on where to find all Notes in Amnesia: The Bunker.

Where to Find All Notes in Amnesia: The Bunker

With a whopping 45 Notes to find in Amnesia: The Bunker, you may find yourself getting side-tracked or losing track of where possible Notes may be lying in wait. There are a few instances where you will need to return at the end of your playthrough to utilize the Wrench and Bolt Cutters in order to open a locked vent or filing cabinet to free that Note and learn more about the Bunker’s past. The Notes in Amnesia: The Bunker act as the primary means of understanding the lore of the game. Unlike other Horror Games where the search for Notes can feel rather tedious, Frictional Games always delivers their horror – showcasing paranoia, self-destruction, madness and fear of the unknown. You find yourself understanding the Soldiers as you are currently dealing with the same, unimaginable situation that their hands were dealt.

We have detailed below both a numerical list that you should follow from start to finish as getting the Notes in this order will prove easiest for you. However, you can really grab these in any order you wish, aside from the few that need the Wrench and Bolt Cutters to get to. We have also included a Map to go alongside the list so that you get the general direction and location of each Note. Be sure to refer to this and use the Administrator’s Office Map whenever you can to remind yourself of where you need to go before your next run.

Unlike Dog Tag and their Codes, the location of each Note is always the same in every playthrough.
