The DLC’s newest protagonist added to the game is Ms. Chalice. Along with her as a character comes her own brand-new set of unique moves for her to pull off as well as some charms that can be purchased and obtained to further gameplay by adding special abilities or unlocking special secrets. Below, we’ll break down the new charms available in Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course and explain which one is best.

Astral Cookie

The Astral Cookie is a charm that’s equipped with Cuphead and allows players to swap to Ms. Chalice. This is the only way to play as her and is actually incorporated into the story. When it’s not equipped, players will use Cuphead as their active character. It’s worth noting that Ms. Chalice has a difference in her parrying, where instead of double-jumping it’s a mid-air dash that gets the job done.

Heart Ring

Using the Heart Ring is good for players who like to use the parrying system in-game often. This charm restores 1 HP to its user on their first, third, and sixth successful parries, making it a bit easier to defeat a boss who may have you on the ropes.

Broken Relic

A pretty interesting charm, if I do say so myself. Acquiring the Broken Relic grants players access to Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course’s secret boss. Without spoiling too much, this really is quite an interesting boss fight for the game as its visuals and boss fight itself serve up some glorious action.

Overall, though the Broken Relic is the coolest, the best charm, and one that’ll actually help a player out more frequently would probably be the Heart Ring. Having this charm be there for you in a pinch is invaluable in those times when you’re about to defeat a boss but you’re down to almost no HP.

That’s the list of the new charms available in Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course and which one is best. This new DLC has already made quite a first impression on its first day and there are sure to be other intricacies that players are bound to find as more play through it.
