If you’re anything like me, then playing a racing game these days can be a true test of muscle memory. With various buttons to remember for the car controls alone, it’s enough to make someone confused. Lest other controls like radio stations, multiplayer communication, and even a map button get thrown into the mix, then you’re in for a headache. And the recently released Need for Speed Unbound is no different. Luckily for you though, we’ve mapped out all of the driving controls in Need for Speed Unbound for you to lessen the load. When it comes to being the top dog racer in a place like Need for Speed Unbound’s Lakeshore, you’re going to need all of the help you can get. While the racing is most certainly the most fun you can have, of course, it can also be a bit tricky to learn at first what with everything the game throws at you, all at once. But we’ve broken down the control schemes for Xbox and PlayStation consoles below to make it a bit easier on you. PC is sure to be a bit different, as players are going to be able to map keys to how they like on there.

Xbox

  • L3 – Steering
  • R3 – Camera/Horn (when pressed)
  • D-Pad Up – Accept Invite
  • D-Pad Down – Decline Invite
  • D-Pad Right – Next Music Track
  • D-Pad Left – Previous Music Track
  • RB – Gear Up
  • LB – Gear Down
  • RT – Accelerate
  • LT – Brake/Reverse (when held down)
  • Y – Switch Camera (pressing toggles through)
  • B – Engine Off (when held)
  • A – Nitrous (can be held or pressed for short bursts)
  • X – eBrake/Interact
  • View Button – Map/Party Menu (when held)
  • Menu Button – In-Game Menu/VOIP TTS (when held)
