The MLB season is in full swing, and MLB The Show 22 is changing. As part of an update that arrived on July 8th, 2022, alterations have been made to some of the gameplay mechanics and the developers have fixed a common UI issue. They’ve also added a brand-new uniform to the game as well.

With MLB teams gearing up a push towards the end of the regular season and the playoffs, San Diego Studios is set to release tons of content in the coming weeks. Beginning with their latest MLB The Show 22 update 11, which has officially deployed for every PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch user.
Here are all of the changes and patch notes for the MLB The Show 22 update 11:
Miscellaneous
- Introduction of the Nike City Connect San Diego Padres uniforms
- Hitting and pitching difficulty will now be displayed in the Game Log
- Fixed an issue that would cause the “Can’t Pitch” icon to remain in the pause menu
- Various play-by-play commentary adjustments
The first change comes with the addition of the new Nike City Connect San Diego Padres uniforms. Which were revealed by the franchise earlier in the month, paying homage to their binational fan base and colors that highlight how vibrant their costal community is.

It’s worth noting that this isn’t the first time new uniforms have been added to the game, and every time it’s happened in the past, they’ve been paired with new Diamond Dynasty content. So, there could be more challenges and rewards coming to the game in the near future as well.
Past that, it looks like you can now check out the hitting and pitching difficulty in the Game Log and the issue that players have been having with the “Can’t Pitch” icon has officially been resolved. There also appears to be some minor commentary adjustments as well.
At the time of writing, game servers are down as of July 8 at 7:00 AM (EST), and there is no estimated downtime. That being said, once the scheduled maintenance is over, you can download the latest update and enjoy all of these wonderful changes.
