Mention of The Borg inspires feelings of terror and resistance in any Starfleet officer. While they debuted as a technologically fused collective identity flying around space in cubes, their presence in the Star Trek universe developed into a mirror through which fans explore the importance of individualism versus collectivism and our feelings about being assimilated without consent.
From the beginning, Federation species’ relationship with the Borg was complex, and over the decades, Trek Borg lore has expanded to further explore the complication of a universe that includes them. Viewers of the newer Picard show experience new Borg entanglements. In short: they’re a fascinating aspect of Star Trek with a storied history — and, they’re in Star Trek Fleet Command.
About The Borg in Star Trek Fleet Command
Star Trek Fleet Command features a Borg space which launched in the game in 2020. You get there by using Transwarp Cells, which are single-use items stored in your inventory. If you cancel it, the cell still gets consumed, so choose your destination carefully. Acquire Transwarp Cells when you build the Vi’dar and through a 22 hour-cycle chest in the gift section. (Log in daily to get them.)
There are different types of Borg ships in Star Trek Fleet Command, and The Borg are the centerpiece of a monthly event for players at level 49 and above. There’s a general mission chain, not restricted by level, and a ranking Borg Reconnaissance event. And as usual in Star Trek Fleet Command, you can also just buy Borg Recon rewards.

Where to Find the Borg Cube in Star Trek Fleet Command
Free-to-play players in particular will wonder where they can find the cube, because it is presented on the game’s menu and in marketing materials. The Cube has 2 million armor, making it tough and high level to beat.
To find the Borg Cube, you’ll have to go through Romulan space to the Beta Sector, which is tough to get to — it takes warp 185 to get there, and of course you’ll have to take an armada. The above mentioned systems include probes and fighters, mainly. Sound tough to navigate to? Fortunately, the Star Trek Fleet Command community has made an interactive map to help you. The Beta Sector is in the upper right hand corner.
Best of luck with your Borg hunting, high level players!
