How to Solve Lava Pit Puzzle in Tower of Fantasy

Now that's some hot stuff.

I’ve never had the pleasure of seeing lava in person myself, though a friend of mine once tried to roast a marshmallow over it in Hawaii. It instantly burst into flames. Active lava is dangerous stuff, but if you can render it inactive, there may be something neat underneath! Here’s how to solve a Lava Pit puzzle in Tower of Fantasy.

How to Solve Lava Pit Puzzle in Tower of Fantasy

When you first arrive in the Banges region, you may spot Lava Pits sticking out of the mountains, usually at high elevations and near bodies of water like rivers. These Lava Pits contain valuable items like a Gold Nucleus, so you definitely want to smash them open whenever you see one.

Luckily, smashing a Lava Pit is actually very easy. All you need to do is smack it with any Frost element weapon, and the lava within will cool and break, revealing the prize. Any weapon is fine, be it a sword, a spear, or whatever else. As long as it’s cold, it can break the lava.

One important caveat to this is that you can only break open Lava Pits when they actually have bright red lava in them. If you find a Lava Pit, but there’s no actual lava inside of it, that’s because the pit isn’t actually active yet. Like a lot of other map elements in Tower of Fantasy, Lava Pits are time-gated, only activating for individual players after a sufficient amount of time has passed since starting the game. In this case, you’ll just have to check back later after a daily reset to see if the lava has started flowing.

You should also know that Lava Pits may not always contain a reward, even when they’re active. Luckily, Lava Pits will respawn after enough time has passed, so with any luck, you’ll find something in there the next time around.
