How to Open Your Mail in Tower of Fantasy

Everyone needs a pen-pal

Tower of Fantasy is an open-world MMO RPG, by Hotta Studios, that sees you doing all sorts of extreme activities. Climbing up rock faces, taking on hordes of ravagers and aberrants, and navigating a dangerous and beautiful land. Yet, despite being able to take on these incredible feats, you may be struggling to do one thing. And no, it isn’t a back-breaking acrobatic stunt. It is merely checking your mail.

Checking your mail in Tower of Fantasy isn’t as intuitive as it may seem, as it isn’t clearly signposted outside of the menu it hides away in.

How to Access Your Mailbox in Tower of Fantasy

The first time you encounter your mail, it would have been just under your mini-map with a little red dot, alerting you to new mail, correct? Well you’ll be surprised (and probably a little frustrated) to learn that it’s not there anymore.

The mailbox’s permanent residence is in the menu. Pressing ‘esc’ will open it up, and you’ll be given a slew of menus to peruse, but don’t get distracted just yet. Considering sending and receiving mail is somewhat of a social interaction, it should be of little surprise to know that you must next open the ‘friends’ menu, taking you to the ‘social networking’ page.

On the top right are two tabs, ‘friends’ and ‘mailbox’. Click on mailbox to open your mail!

Your mailbox will be receiving a lot of mail from SytemMail, which is the game reaching out to you to warn you of server maintenance or other game-interrupting events. For any inconveniences, the game will send you a little gift that you can use at your leisure. Simply hit ‘claim’ to gain your reward. Alternatively, if you have a lot of gifted mail, you can just hit ‘claim all’ and gather all your goodies in one fell swoop.

Your mailbox can store up to 400 letters, which may seem a lot, but try to get into the habit of deleting your mail so it doesn’t get clogged up, and any mail you want to keep hold of and to access later won’t be buried in a sea of old and useless notices. Although, the game does date the mail, so you could write down the dates of your important mail and search them up when you need them.
