Not officially. In fact, because the game supports online multiplayer with up to eight others, split screen would make the screen look … not great, if we’re being honest. What is The Forest’s Online Multiplayer Like?
According to developer Endnight Games, The Forest’s storyline can be played solo or with up to eight others. You can “use stealth to evade enemies, or engage them directly with crude weapons built from sticks and stones.”

It’d seem that The Forest’s primary gameplay loop involves defense and crafting mechanics. According to the game’s official website, players can “explore and build during the day. Defend your base at night. Craft weapons and tools. Bunker down during the evening or bring the fight directly to the enemy.”
