How To Make Medicine in The Forest
As medicine is a craftable item in The Forest, players are going to have to forage for a few items when it comes to having what’s needed to put these medicines together. There are actually two kinds of medicines to craft, both having similar ingredients but with one being superior to the other.
The medicine that you can craft in The Forest is called Herbal Medicine. The Herbal Medicine will heal a player for 50 hit points when consumed. Additionally, it’ll also restore some of your character’s fullness as well for an added plus. You can also add it to a quick select slot so that you always have it in dire times.
Let’s break down the two types of Herbal medicines there are to craft.
- Herbal Medicine: 1x Aloe + 1x Marigold
- Herbal Medicine+: 1x Aloe + 1x Marigold + Coneflower
When it comes to the benefits of Herbal Medicine+, you’ll get full restoration of health upon consumption, so the work to craft it over regular Herbal Medicine is definitely worth it. And as a side note, you can only carry up to 5 of any of the Herbal medicines at a time.
If you’re looking to store your Herbal Medicines, you can do so using either a Small Cabinet for 7 Logs or a Large Cabinet for 8 Logs. Comparing Herbal Medicines to Pills, the health value is similar between the two with regular Herbal Medicine and Pills healing at the same rate. Pills are an item that is scavenged and not crafted. They can be found in things such as suitcases, the plane, caves, and so on.
