How to Replay the Mausoleum Levels in Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course

Challenge the Mausoleums or the secret boss again.

In Cuphead, there are three Mausoleum challenges located across the three sections of the Inkwell Isles. Completing these challenges earn you your Super Arts, and prior to The Delicious Last Course, they were our only glimpses of the Legendary Chalice. If you have the DLC, though, you can take another spin through the Mausoleums. Here’s how to replay the Mausoleum levels in Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course.

If you want to replay any of the Mausoleum levels on the first three Inkwell Isles, you can do so very easily. All you need to do is stand in front of the Mausoleum you want to replay on the overworld and hold the two shoulder buttons on your controller. For a PlayStation controller, that’s L1 and R1, for an Xbox controller, that’s RB and LB, and for a Switch controller, that’s L and R. You can also hold whatever keys you have bound for weapon swap and lock on a keyboard.

Hold those buttons for a few seconds, and you should receive a prompt to reenter the Mausoleum. You can play the whole level again, with no repercussions if you fail. Bear in mind that, since the Mausoleum levels aren’t graded, there’s no net positive to replaying them. This is just for fun, or for practicing your parrying.

In addition to the Mausoleums, you can also use this trick to re-fight the secret boss on Inkwell Isle 4 from the DLC. If you’ve already solved the Graveyard Puzzle and beaten the secret boss, just stand in front of the central headstone and hold those shoulder buttons. The blue light should reappear, and you can fight the secret boss again. You don’t need the Broken/Cursed Relic equipped to do this, by the way.

Again, re-fighting the secret boss won’t yield any additional rewards, it’s just there if you want to take another swing at it and show ’em what for. If you need a refresher, don’t forget to check out our guide on how to beat the secret boss.
