How to Get the Black Knife Tiche Spirit Ash Summon in Elden Ring

In the lore of Elden Ring, the Black Knives were a coven of powerful assassins who imbued their weapons with the Rune of Death to kill one of the demigods, Godwyn the Golden. It should go without saying that an assassin that can murder a demigod would be a powerful ally to have in a fight, but most of them are either insane or dead. Luckily, the latter doesn’t disqualify them from aiding you! Here’s how to get the Black Knife Tiche Spirit Ash Summon in Elden Ring.

Black Knife Tiche is one of the spirits you can summon up with the Spirit Calling Bell during difficult encounters like boss fights. Like the rest of the Black Knives, Tiche is a powerful combatant, not only employing swift and strong slashes and stabs with her knife, but also unleashing a ranged slashing attack that inflicts foes with a particularly intense damage-over-time effect. She’s a fantastic asset to have in one-on-one boss fights, though to get her Ashes, you’ll need to pursue one of the lengthiest questlines in the game.

How to Get the Black Knife Tiche Spirit Ash Summon in Elden Ring

To get the Black Knife Tiche Ashes, you’ll need to defeat Alecto, Black Knife Ringleader. Alecto is held in an Evergaol atop the high plateau in the distant south of the Liurnia of the Lakes region. The tricky thing is that you can’t actually get to this plateau from within the region itself. The only way up there is via an elevator located in the underground region.

To find this elevator, you’ll need to navigate the Lake of Rot located directly beneath the plateau underground, take the coffin down the waterfall in the Grand Cloister, and defeat Astel, Naturalborn of the Void at the bottom. You’ll be doing all of this if you’re pursuing Ranni’s questline, so if you’re already invested in that, then good news, you’re on the right track.

Once you make it up to the plateau, you’ll find the Evergaol on top of a cliff at the plateau’s most northwestern point. You’ll see the little light worm things surrounding it; it’s pretty clear. You don’t need any keys or anything to enter, you can just go right in to confront Alecto.

Elden Ring Ringleader's Evergoal

Alecto is an extremely fast combatant, able to close long distances between you and her with long, lunging stabs. What you really need to watch out for is when she coats her knife with a black flame, as taking damage from that will inflict you with a fast-acting damage-over-time. You should also stand back when she holds her left arm out, as she’ll attempt to grab and backstab you.

If you’ve got any weapons or skills that do a lot of poise damage, you’ll want to use them here, as Alecto can actually be knocked into a stunned state fairly easily, opening her up for critical hits. Beyond that, try to get good at dodging her slashes, as it’s inadvisable to try and take them head-on.

Once you defeat Alecto, you’ll be rewarded with the Black Knife Tiche Spirit Ash. Just make sure you have the 132 FP required to summon her.
