How to Play MLB The Show 22 Early

Even though we’re just under a week away from the official release date of MLB The Show 22 on April 5, there’s a way for people to play the game early before the launch. 

Much like other sports video games, MLB The Show 22 will have an additional ‘Early Access’ date on top of the standard launch date. That means that players will be able to get their hands on and acclimated with everything that MLB The Show 22 has to offer before the game becomes readily available to the rest of the world. 

How to Play MLB The Show 22 Early

The first thing to note is that early access will only be available to those who purchased the MVP or Digital Deluxe edition of MLB The Show 22. 

Those who purchased the Standard edition or want to access the game through Xbox Game Pass will have to wait until April 5 to start playing MLB The Show 22. This applies to all systems, including Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch. 

If you are one of the fortunate few that purchased MLB The Show 22 MVP or Digital Deluxe editions, you can play the game starting on April 1 at midnight EST.

It’s worth noting that only Xbox and PlayStation users will have access to the MVP edition of MLB The Show 22. Nintendo Switch players can buy the Digital Deluxe edition to get early access to the game. The MVP and Deluxe editions of the game will cost more money upfront, but it’s well worth it. You will get access to the game, as well as added benefits.

With the MVP edition of MLB The Show 22, players will get 10,000 stubs, 1 Diamond Choice Pack, 2 Gold Choice Packs, 10 The Show Packs, 1 Ballplayer Pack, and Double Daily Login Rewards. The Digital Deluxe edition will reward players with 25,000 stubs, 2 Diamond Choice Packs, 5 Gold Choice Packs, 20 The Show Packs, 1 Ballplayer Pack, and Double Daily Login Rewards. 

So, it’s certainly worth the investment to buy one of either the MVP or Digital Deluxe edition of MLB The Show 22. However, you will need to act fast if you haven’t already purchased one of the two, as we’re officially under 12 hours away from the game’s early access release.
