The best weapons in Elden Ring aren’t just the ones that hit really hard, but the ones that either have potent status effects attached to them or have powerful special skills that only they can use. One especially potent weapon is the Sword of Night and Flame, which can pack quite a punch if you’re running an INT/FAI build. Here’s the location of the Sword of Night and Flame in Elden Ring.
The Sword of Night and Flame is a unique Straight Sword that scales with both INT and FAI, in addition to STR and DEX, dealing physical, magic, and fire damage. Its special skill, Night-and-Flame Stance, allows you to assume a powerful stance, then deploy either a Night Comet, a large blast of magic energy, or a sweeping slash of flames with a light and heavy attack, respectively. While this sword was nerfed a bit in the 1.03 patch, it’s still a great weapon for the magically-minded.
Elden Ring Sword of Night and Flame Location
The Sword of Night and Flame can be found in Caria Manor, located in the northwest of the Liurnia of the Lakes region. You’ll need to cut through the courtyard, which is crawling with Fingercreepers, then make your way inside the manor proper.
Starting from the Manor Lower Level Site of Grace, you’ll need to make your way across the manor’s walkways. Don’t bother with the Spirit Soldiers, as long as you keep running, they won’t be able to catch you before you’re out of their reach. Run past the first two of the large pillars, then look to the left of the third walkway to see a rooftop within jumping distance.
Jump down to this rooftop, then jump down to yet another rooftop nearby, where you’ll find a hole with a ladder leading down. Take the ladder down into a small room, where you’ll find a chest containing the Sword of Night and Flame.
