Top 10 Weapons in Fallout 4

Explosive Minigun

Explosive Minigun is arguably one of the best weapons in Fallout 4. But keep in mind that this gun takes a lot of inventory space and that you’ll have to drop a number of items if you want to carry the Explosive Minigun. Note also that this weapon is really rare, but if you manage to defeat a legendary enemy and obtain the weapon, your enemies won’t stand a chance, and you’ll wipe them out in just a few precise shots.

Explosive Combat Shotgun

Explosive Combat Shotgun is one of the strongest weapons for close combat. It can be obtained by defeating a legendary enemy. When shot, it causes large damage to all in proximity. This gun is very useful, especially when we know that a lot of enemies in Fallout 4 often use melee attacks. One of the best perks of this upgraded shotgun is that its bullets explode on contact, causing damage to a large group of enemies.

Never-Ending Double-Barrel Shotgun

If we are talking about inflicting vast damage to your enemies, then there is no better choice than the Never-Ending Double-Barrel Shotgun. If you get it after defeating a legendary enemy, you’ll be very satisfied. What sets this weapon apart the most is the fact that it needs no reloading. Yes, you heard well; you can endlessly fire at your enemies as long as you have the ammo. Regardless, you should pay attention to some downsides of this kind of shotgun. Our advice is to always have a backup weapon for regular combat and to save this powerful gun for close-range fights, especially in closed spaces.

Nuka-Nuke Launcher

Nuka-Nuke Launcher is another weapon on this list that many players consider to be one of the best in the game. You can find it in a vault behind John-Caleb Bradberton’s office in Nuka-Town. In order to get it, you’ll need to side with Bradberton in the “Cappy in a Haystack” quest. It inflicts an astonishing 833 damage to enemies and can be shot from a solid distance. But do note that it’s not the best choice when the fight is happening in closed spaces, so always keep a backup weapon in your inventory. But if the enemy is standing at a reasonable distance, they hardly stand a chance against this devastating weapon.

Admiral’s Friend

Admiral’s Friend is a harpoon weapon added in the DLC Far Harbor. You can buy it from a merchant called Allen Lee in the town of Far Harbor for around 1500 caps. This mighty harpoon deals 300 damage which doubles to 600 if the enemy’s health bar is full. This basically means that all of the enemies will be no more after one precise shot with this weapon, and if they survive it… well, then, they are really powerful.

Experiment 18-A

Experiment 18-A is a unique and powerful gun. This weapon can be bought from the synth requisition officer in the Institute. It has an extremely high capacity and can fire many shots in one round. Experiment 18-A has a 25 percent faster fire rate, and reloading takes 15 percent less time. It’s one of the favorite weapons of Fallout 4 players.

Splattercannon

Splattercannon is a weapon with a great fire rate and deals 49 damage. It can be bought from Aaron Corbett at the Nuka-Town Market. What makes this gun special is its ability to deal increased damage after each consecutive shot at the same target. But keep in mind that getting consecutive shots can be a tricky task, so to be sure, use this in close-range combat and when fighting in closed spaces.

The Problem Solver

The Problem Solver can be confused with the Splattercannon, but it has a better range. If you want it, you’ll need to pass a Charisma check with Mason in the “Ambitious Plan” quest. Just make sure to choose aggressive dialogue choices when interacting with him. The first shot inflicts 21 damage, but each consecutive shot raises the damage by 15 percent. Unlike the Splattercannon, The Problem Solver can be very useful for long-range combat as it can hit the enemy from some distance.

Final Judgement

Final Judgment is a laser weapon that deals 26 damage and has an excellent fire rate. There are three ways to obtain this gun.

  • During the “Precipice of War” quest, instead of going to the Police Station, travel to Prydwen and kill Arthur Maxson.
  • During the “Rocket’s Red Glare” quest, Maxson ambushes you after planting the explosives.
  • During the “Airship Down” quest, Maxson will be on a Vertibird. Kill him and get the weapon.

Final Judgment has a 25 percent fire rate and 15 percent reload. Note that it also has its downside since it needs Fusion Cores to power up, and they can cost a lot.

Le Fusil Terribles

Le Fusil Terribles is one of the small weapons on this list. It can be obtained during the “Synth Retention” quest, inside Libertalia, south of the Nahant Warf. With its special effect, it adds 25 percent more damage along with a fire rate of 20. The downside of Le Fusil Terribles is a lot of recoil, which can be eased with various mods for this gun.
