How to Get Max Arclight in Wayfinder

That meter won't fill itself

Completing Codex Hall questlines can be tough, especially when you are giving little-to-no advice or indication as to what each term and system in Wayfinder means. Progressing across the story will naturally grant you access to new weapons, abilities and functions in the game such as Imbuements and higher levelled Spheres that are important to completing quest objectives. From upgrading the Gloom Dagger to use multiple Imbuements, to levelling up your other characters through repeated questlines, this is Vincent’s guide on how to reach Arclight in Wayfinder.

How to Reach Max Arclight in Wayfinder

In Wayfinder, you may have found yourself stuck on understanding what unique features are in store for you, especially when it comes to completing questlines or levelling up. Expeditions or quests are divided into difficulty based on the Sphere that you have unlocked. To get higher level of difficulties, you need to hit specific Expedition requirements such as completing an Expedition with Sphere 2 and Imbuement to unlock Sphere 3. But the inclusion of Arclight could leave you puzzled on exactly what this means when there is no clear indication on what exactly Arclight is.

For those trying to reach a higher Sphere by completing Codex Halls and other questlines that include an Arclight Objective, you need to head into your chosen Expedition as normal; following the strict guidelines in place on your questline Objectives (e.g., Sphere 3 with 2 Imbuements). Once you are in the game, you will find a Meter at the top centre of the in-game screen. This is your Arclight Meter. As you defeat mobs, find treasure and complete objectives as part of the Expedition, the Meter will go up. The best way to max out your Arclight is to find all of the treasure chests on the map and work through the entire arena by killing everything you come across. This should fill the Meter as you are fighting the final boss of the Expedition.

An important note is that the Meter can decrease after a duration of time if you are not finding loot or killing anything. It is important that you continue to keep the Meter high until you see the purple chests in the bar turn gold. When the first chest turns gold, this will indicate that you have reached max Arclight in your Expedition. Equally important to note is that you cannot die or get downed with your teammates as this will completely remove the Meter progress or decrease drastically if you are knocked out of the fight.
