How to Get Past the Giant Bird in The Far Woods – Remnant 2

The impenetrable nest... until now

The Far Woods, a place where people come to see the sights and try to nab some delicious bird eggs. But the Woods are heavily guarded where simply walking through to take in the scenery just won’t do. If you are looking to see everything, you will need to get past the giant blue bird that stands tall in protecting its nest. Unsure of whether you are a threat or not, it places choice in your hands and whether or not you choose the right one is completely up to you. With no way of knowing where to begin in getting the giant blue bird out of the way, this is Vincent’s guide on how to move the blue bird in The Far Woods of Remnant 2 and trust me, you’ll want to read this one.

There has been a lot of discussion over what specifically is the cause to the blue bird moving from its post in the deep part of the Yaesha forests. Other guides state that the only method of getting past is by defeating The Far Woods boss – Mother Mind. However this step is wrong as if you go into the area with the goal in mind to defeat this boss immediately and return to the nest in hope that the bird has moved, you will find that nothing has changed. Due to this, this guide will highlight multiple steps that a player should take to move the bird away from her nest. From the arrival to a specific location in The Far Woods to killing a specific amount of enemies in the area or just exploring the land until you hear the audio cue of the bird flying away. Let’s dive into what players should do in the attempt to move the mother out of her nest.

How to Move the Mother Protecting her Nest

The first step and one that appears to work for the majority of players is to find and kill x2 elite bird sets (this variation of bird has a red colorway). You will find these in close proximity to the blue bird itself but you need to climb to the upper level in the Woods rather than staying on the ground. Some state that killing a total of 10 birds will result in the blue bird to leave the nest, whilst others have outlined killing a single elite bird will do the trick. In this instance, we recommend finding the elite variation and killing two sets of these to ensure that you have defeated the highest threat against the mother’s nest. This should almost guarantee that the blue bird leaves her post, allowing you to peer into the nest and collect the Kuri Kuri Charm.

Other methods are of course to kill the Mother Mind but only after killing the flying, winged enemies inside of The Far Woods. Alternatively, exploring the Woods in its entirety, including entering the next area (without leaving the Woods completely however) should result in the blue bird leaving. As you will be far away, listen out to the audio cue of wings flapping as this will tell you if the blue bird has moved away. Finally, a few suggest that you can simply stay and explore the Woods until the bird randomly moves where once again you will hear the sound of its winds flapping in the wind.

In conclusion, the most effective way to get the bird to move away from the nest is to kill the elite birds in the area next to the blue bird. This appears to have the most conclusive results and always guarantees that the bird leaves the nest after you have slain the threat that imposes her eggs.
