Is there a way to have Mjölnir in your God Of War arsenal?
Sadly, you cannot get Mjölnir and use it even after you’ve finished the main story campaign. During the last events of God of War: Ragnarök, you will encounter the scene where Thor finally comes to his senses and sees the evil that his father is causing and that it is putting his loved ones in danger. With this realization, Thor then decides to stand up against Odin but unfortunately dies because of it.
Odin then grabs Mjölnir and throws it towards Thor’s Daughter Thrúd, launching both of them away from the scene. This is the last time we see Mjölnir in the main story campaign.

After this events of Ragnarök, the hammer’s whereabouts is unknown—that is, until you encounter Thrúd in Alfheim. Here, Thrúd obtains it and uses the hammer to find and train to become a valkyrie. Based on this post ending encounter with Thrúd, the iconic hammer can only be used by Thor and his kin.
We may not be able to experience wielding the seemingly large and iconic Mjölnir, but at the very least we are introduced with a more Spartan appropriate weapon, the Draupnir. Made out of a repurposed Nordic artifact that is ased on the real life mythological item with the same name, The Draupnir is a spear that can be thrown and duplicated infinitely, which is arguably better than a hammer version of the Leviathan Axe.
