Is the Warzone Starter Pack Worth it?

Microtransactions have become par for the course in free-to-play games, whether we like it or not. In Warzone’s case, there are so many of them that it can leave players feeling a little overwhelmed. When you’re so spoiled for choice, you need to spend your money where it counts, which begs the question of whether or not the Warzone Starter Pack is worth the money. 

Is the Warzone Starter Pack Worth the Money?

Yes, and no. Right off the bat, the pack costs $5.00. You get 500 COD Points in the bundle, so you already get your money back on the purchase, making it well worth it if you plan on buying other gear from the store. 

Aside from those points, though, the starter pack isn’t all that special. Having one hour of double weapon XP and battle pass XP is nice, but you’re only going to get two or three games out of it – especially since you only get one boost in the bundle. 

What attracts most people to the Warzone Starter Pack is the skin and weapon blueprint. The weapon, titles the Amalgam, is a shotgun variant. For new players especially, this is useless. Using a shotgun when you’re new to Warzone is among the worst ways to improve at the game. 

Disregarding the emblem and calling card, that leaves us with the operator skin: Alchemist. If you’re a fan of this skin, and rightfully so, then buy the bundle. You get your money back in COD points along with some random extra bits. 

If you don’t like the Alchemist skin, then don’t bother. There isn’t anything else about this bundle that can justify the price, even if it’s only $5.
