How To Get S+ Rank in Wolcen Expeditions

The Expeditions Map is where you’ll be spending most of your time once you finish the campaign in Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem. It is a bit of a combination of the Diablo 3 rifting feature and the Path of Exile mapping system, though not as in-depth as the latter.

You can roll modifiers on each Expedition Map, which will increase the Magic Find, Item Quantity, and Productivity for that map. After rolling four modifiers on a map, you will have the ability to Lure Untainteds for 1,000 Affinity.

You will need to do this in order to “Rank” in an Expedition Map. The highest possible rank you can achieve in this mode is S+ Tier, which will guarantee you the best drops including at least one legendary.

The ranks are based on a number of factors including:

  • Clear Speed – how fast you clear the entire area and defeat the boss.
  • Death Count – if you die during the run, your rank is guaranteed to go down.
  • Untainted Kills – various untainted monsters will pop up during your run, and you need to kill them as soon as possible.

Taking into account all of the above factors and completing the map as efficiently as possible will guarantee the highest possible rank. Sometimes, you may roll a bad map where there are not enough untainted spawns. This means even though you clear the map efficiently, you might only get an S Rank instead of S+, and there’s not much you can do about that.
