100 Thieves Part Ways with Zikz and Welcome Reapered

100 Thieves have cemented another mediocre season with their most recent fourth-place finish in the 2021 LCS Playoffs. 100 Thieves have struggled with team synergy, coach leadership and most recently, mid lane optimization. The organization is looking to propel itself into the conversation for the top three, and have made a drastic change in coaching from Zikz to Reapered.

Zikz has taken 100T’s change in direction with tremendous professionalism. Although Zikz professes that the terms surrounding his departure were not ideal, he intends to look towards future opportunities and is open to offers. As a coach, Zikz has a storied history of top 3 finishes but also sports an equal amount of bottom tier, playoff-less seasons. Zikz has received criticism regarding his lack of immediate success, which has additionally been fueled by his draft pick and ban phases, team direction, and roster choices.

As one of the most veteran coaches across all regions, Reapered has a long history of high ranking successes with most teams he has coached, most notably the consistent top finishes with Cloud9. Reapered has consistently demonstrated a high level of strategy, flexibility and passion, and looks to be an all-around upgrade over Zikz on paper. However, 100 Thieves have multiple issues that need resolving before the players and organization can make their 2021 World Championship campaign.
