Wildfrost is an indie roguelike deckbuilder game that’s been taking the gaming world by storm ever since it was released! This game masterfully combines classic deckbuilder elements with RPG elements and strategic, turn-based battles; if you’re a fan of unexpectedly engaging tactical games, then there isn’t anything you won’t love about Wildfrost.
As previously mentioned, Wildfrost is a deckbuilder game. You’ll need to build the perfect deck with the best cards if you want to beat the game, which is obviously a lot easier said than done. If you want to have the deadliest deck of cards in Wildfrost, then just use any of the cards on this list!
Best Cards to Use in Wildfrost
There are 4 categories of card types in Wildfrost: Clunkers, Companions, Items, and Shades. The card type is dependent on which “tribe” they originated from. No category is necessarily better than another, but there are cards that are less effective than others (regardless of card type).
There are a lot of cards in Wildfrost, but not all of them are winners. If you want to build the greatest, most unstoppable deck in Wildfrost, then all you have to do is just use any of these cards:
Woodhead – Clunker
A lot of players may be tempted to underestimate Woodhead because it doesn’t actually attack any enemies, but those who turn a blind eye to this card are making a huge mistake!
Woodhead may not be able to land any one-shot hits on any opposing cards, but it can save you in a pinch; Woodhead has the special ability to take any enemy hit to save the other cards on your team. Woodhead may not be a powerhouse, but it’s excellent to have as a backup plan if the other team ends up being stronger than you expected!
Bom Barrel – Item
Most players would agree that Bom Barrel is easily one of the best cards to have in Wildfrost. You definitely need this card on your team if you want to be a Wildfrost master!
This card afflicts the Bom status ailment on enemies. And unlike other status ailments in this game, the Bom status ailment remains constant for the entire battle; it never wears off and its effectiveness is never reduced! This means you can do incredible passive damage with practically no effort at all!
Beepop – Shade
Like the Woodhead card, the Beepop card in Wildfrost is commonly underestimated by players. However, if you want to build the deadliest deck in Wildfrost history, then you’ll reconsider adding this card to your team!
Beepop isn’t a rare card by any means, but that doesn’t mean it’s not incredibly useful in battle. Similar to Woodhead, this card’s main purpose is to take a hit for the team; however, dissimilar to Woodhead, Beepop will actually inflict a staggering 4 Overburn on its attacker when it dies. This card helps you win battles even from beyond the grave!
Bitebox – Clunker
Players shouldn’t underestimate this card simply because of its looks or because it isn’t rare. Bitebox can be one of the most powerful cards in Wildfrost if used correctly!
The use of this card can easily determine the outcome of any battle. Prior to being destroyed, Bitebox will return the same amount of damage taken to its attacker! As long as you have a Bitebox card in your deck, it doesn’t matter how hard the enemies hit!
Sheepopper – Shade
Not only does this card have an adorable name, but it also has an amazing special ability! If you want a card that’ll catch your enemies completely off guard, then you need a Sheepopper on your side.
Unlike the other cards on this list, Sheepopper will actually be summoned to the enemy’s side when drawn. This may seem like the opposite of what you’d want in a battle, but just wait! Sheepopper, despite being on the opposite side, won’t attack your team; instead, this card deals a whopping 8 damage to all of its “allies” when killed! If used correctly, you can literally wipe out an entire enemy team with this card!
