What Time are Force Wipes in RUST? Answered

You Can't Change It, But You Can At Least Be Aware ...

In RUST, the first — and arguably most important — priority is to continue existing for another day. It’s a task made even harder when the world around you seems to go out of its way to prevent you from doing so. This is what the players of RUST must deal with on a daily basis. To make matters worse, it’d seem even the dev team is out to get players, as they must suffer forced server wipes every so often.

These server wipes can manifest in two different forms — official server wipes and community server wipes. But, it’s not enough to know that they’re coming; it also helps to know when they’re coming. I mean, sure — this knowledge may not be able to change much, but it helps to be aware of when they’re coming. Read on to learn everything you need to know about what time these wipes are set for!

What Time are Force Wipes in RUST?

So, as stated, there are two kinds of wipes in RUST: official server wipes and community server wipes. It would seem that official server wipes occur each month, on the first Thursday at 11:00AM PT / 1:00PM CT / 2:00PM ET. These wipes occur across the board on all consoles that RUST is available on. But, it’s also important to note that — with some exception — these wipes won’t clear Blueprints.

On the flip side, community server wipes are more unpredictable. Because they’re run by members of the community, their server wipe status can vary from each month, to every week, and every other schedule under the sun. But, if you’re really concerned, you can always check a specific server’s wipe status in the server browser; if there’s an incoming wipe, chances are you’ll see a date for it there.
