The Hunt Briandance Tower of Lights

Cyberpunk 2077: Braindance Guide

Braindance is a game mechanic in Cyberpunk 2077 where you get to relive and replay someone’s memories. You will use the braindance editor in the game often to find clues for your various jobs. While in a braindance, you will be able to fast forward, rewind, move around the character, change layers, and of course, find clues. Many players have been getting stuck on these sections, so here is a braindance guide for Cyberpunk 2077.

How to Braindance in Cyberpunk 2077

While in a braindance, you can shift through three different layers (visual, audio, and thermal) to look for clues and figure out what’s happening. If you’re stuck or it’s taking too long to exit, there’s a good possibility you’re missing a clue in the footage.

Focus on the Timeline Bar

The most crucial section of the braindance editor is the top timeline bar. It shows you almost everything you need to know. Your timeline will have sections marked on it with diagonal lines. These sections represent areas in the timeline where clues will be available to find.

Move your timeline to that section and look around. Your clue should be visible within the range of the character at that point.

Changing Visual Layers

The braindance timeline will not only show you the clues on the default visual layer, but also the audio and thermal layers. It will always be visible that a clue is available in a different layer. You will just have to change the layer and find it.

You can change your visual layer with Left Shift key on the PC.

So that’s it. The process is fairly straightforward after you understand how it works. Look up at the braindance editor timeline and fast forward or rewind until you are in a marked section. Change to the appropriate layer and look for your clue. This makes things much more manageable, taking out some of the more confusing variables. Now all you have to do is look around the area, knowing for sure you are in the right layer and at the right time.
