Can You Save Solomon in Hogwarts Legacy?

Unfortunately, no you cannot save Solomon from dying in the game. It’s a scripted moment that happens in every playthrough despite what choices you make as a player.

The player’s friend Sebastian wants to save his sister Anne from a dreadful curse and decides to dabble in dark magic. After witnessing his nephew perform one of the Unforgivable Curses, Solomon vows to turn Sebastian in if he doesn’t change the path he’s down. Unfortunately, this does little to stop Sebastian’s obsession.

The player is unable to influence Sebastian to change his mind, whether they agree with Unforgivable Curses or not. This all builds to a climactic boss fight between the player, Sebastian, and Solomon who has journeyed to stop his nephew. While Sebastian and the player team up to fight Solomon, it is Sebastian who takes things too far. He uses the Killing Curse on Solomon, murdering him in cold blood. As a result, Anne disowns her brother and flees the scene.

Should You Turn Sebastian In?

After the fight, the player is able to learn the Killing Curse themselves, but at what cost? They must also make a tough choice, which will have late-game consequences. Do they turn Sebastian in for killing his uncle or not? If you turn Sebastian in, then he goes to Azkaban prison for his crimes never to be seen again. If not then Sebastian appears later in the game, a bit remorseful, but overall not quite as sad as one would expect for having committed murder.
