How to Beat Pizzaface in Pizza Tower

The pizza is aggressive.

If I had a nickel for every evil pizza I’ve seen in various media, I’d probably have just enough to get a slice from a local joint. Pizza can definitely mess you up in the indirect, don’t-eat-it-before-bed way, but as it turns out, it’s also quite formidable in the literal way as well. Here’s how to beat Pizzaface in Pizza Tower.

How to Beat Pizzaface in Pizza Tower

Pizzaface is the final boss of Pizza Tower. He’s been menacing Peppino from the very start, threatening to blow up his restaurant and attacking him during Pizza Time. It’s time to get some good ol’ fashioned payback for all this trouble at the tower’s pinnacle.

Pizzaface will float back and forth in the air out of your reach, launching various minions out of his nose. Grab any minion and punch them up at Pizzaface to stun him and knock him down, then dash grab him to damage him. He’ll then try to smash the ground and you along with it, so just move out of the way. The impact will jostle up another minion, so just grab it and lob it at Pizzaface to damage him again. Repeat that a few times, and he’s done. Easy, right? Wrong.

When Pizzaface is destroyed, he’ll open up, revealing the true mastermind of Pizza Tower: the demented Pizzahead. Pizzahead will utilize a variety of cartoony attacks, while the remnants of Pizzaface will float around and drop gears on you from above. At the start of this phase, Pizzahead will drop a revolver, just like you used against the Vigilante. Remember, rapid-tap for rapid fire, hold the button for a charged shot. Just keep firing at him every opportunity you have while avoiding his moves.

Pizzahead will use one of the following moves at random:

  • Grab and throw a rat like a baseball, letting it bounce a couple of times before returning
  • Grab your own status TV and throw it, letting it bounce around the room before breaking
  • Grab a machinegun and fire in a wide pattern for a few seconds
  • Grab a bundle of dynamite and throw it over his shoulder, creating a few small explosions
  • Pull up a sword in a stone, dragging up a bunch of cheese knights with it

After you drain his health, Pizzahead will collapse for a moment before jumping back up and pulling out the four previous floor bosses. Yep, it’s time for a boss rush, but he picked a bad time for it because Peppino’s officially gone off the deep end. Every time you damage the bosses, Peppino will deliver a series of powerful blows, knocking an entire line of hits off their health bars. This means you only need to damage each boss four times in total to get rid of them.

Here are a few quick notes on the boss rush:

  • Pepperman is the same as before, just smack him after he dashes or while he’s bouncing
  • Gustavo will show up for The Vigilante. Grab him and throw him at The Vigilante to stun him so you can attack him
  • For The Noise, either smack him after he attacks and taunts or lob Gustavo at him to stun him
  • Fake Peppino won’t have his clones, so you can stun him at any time with a dash grab or Gustavo

Time to finish off Pizzahead. He doesn’t have much left in his bag of tricks, so just avoid his attacks and grab him when he laughs at you. He’s only got three attacks he can use in this phase:

  • Pull out boxing gloves and attack the space right in front of him
  • Pull out a flyswatter and dash to the other end of the screen
  • Get fat and stomp, damaging you if you’re on the ground

At first, he’ll only use one of these attacks before leaving himself open, but as you lower his health, he’ll use two, then all three. Peppino’s still raged up, though, so you only need to damage him four times to finish him off, this time for good. With one last wombo-combo and a soaring piledriver, Pizzahead has been defeated. Don’t relax yet, because you still have one more level before the game is over.
