The question everyone asks themselves. The short answer is no, you can never win Impossible Tic Tac Toe due to the maths involved. The only respite you will every have is tying with the algorithm or not playing in the first place. There are many ways to reach a stalemate, but there is a general pattern I find myself reaching again and again.

How to tie with Impossible Tic Tac Toe
The game is only impossible due to the player having to go first. So, infuriatingly, you must firstly place your cross in one of the corners. Forget what the AI does for now. For your second move, place a cross in the opposite corner. Now you’ll notice that the AI is one move from winning. Place a cross to block them off. From here until stalemate, you’ll be constantly blocking off the AI’s winning move. This process can be done again and again.
If you’re insane, you could attempt to beat the system. But you will never, ever win. It’s simple maths, as annoying as it is. So, swallow your pride and submit to the machine. Or keep tying with it for eternity.
