Can you Sell Plants in Hogwarts Legacy? Answered

A student with expensive taste

You would not be a Hogwarts student if you did not brew potions. Plants are crucial to making potions or upgrading your gear. These ingredients can be either purchased or grown at Hogwarts. You can also get yourself the iconic Mandrakes to disable and halt the enemy movements. By visiting Tomes and Scrolls in Hogsmeade, players can purchase tables with plant pot sets in order to grow your own plants. You can also purchase seeds and plants from Magic Neep. When brewing potions, players can use the Room of Requirements. The making of potions however, takes real-world time into account when brewing. But can you sell plants that you do not need in Hogwarts Legacy? Find out below.

Can you Sell Plants in Hogwarts Legacy?

Plants are incredibly useful to have however you do not need to farm these. When you require a specific potion for Side Quests, you will purchase and grow what you need to fulfil the objective. Therefore, you should not obtain an abundance of plants as they were be useless for you unless you use them. Do not grow specific plants unless you need them. We point this out as you cannot sell plants to any Vendors in the game. Whilst you can regularly visit Hogsmeade to buy and sell items, you will only be selling your unwanted gear to the Vendors. This can be done with any Vendor in Hogsmeade. However this is the only thing you can sell to them. Any other items such as potions or ingredients cannot be sold.

Because of this, you should only ever purchase what you need in Hogwarts Legacy. Remember that when you are growing plants, you are required to purchase seeds, plant pots and fertilizer. These can all be bought inside Hogsmeade. The plants available to grow in Hogwarts Legacy are: Dittany, Mallowsweet, Fluxweed, Knotgrass, Shrivelfig, Chinese Chomping Cabbage, Madrake and Venomous Tentacula. Unless you are one of those players who quickly farm money, you should keep in mind that these seeds cost a minimum of 200 Gold, with its dearest item costing 1,050 Gold.
