Dark and Darker is a first-person PvP game made by the developer Ironmace games. The game has turned out to be a sleeper hit for the studio. Thousands of players have come flocking to this title for something similar but different. Combining Escape from Tarkov, Chivalry, and gearing from the most popular MMOs, Dark and Darker is shaping up to be a smash hit this year. But Ironmace is still ironing out the kinks with the title as well.
As it’s a new game in the development and test phase there’s an expected understanding that sometimes the servers will be down so Ironmace can apply patches and add new content to the title. How To Check Server Status
The recommended way to check if the Dark and Darker servers are up is to follow the developer’s official Twitter account. They are a very open and communicative studio and engage with players regularly. There is always information available there. Usually, this will be where the issue is solved.
After you check the server status and there is no warning of the servers being down and your internet is still working as it should, the next best thing to do would be to check and see if Steam is down. The best way to do that will be to go to the website Steam Status and make sure that the services are all!
Unfortunately, if the server is down, it becomes a bit of a waiting game at that point. You’ll have to wait until the developer can resolve the issue, but you can take solace in knowing the issue isn’t on your end.
