Professor Fig may be one of the lecturers you grow an attachment to in Hogwarts Legacy, and helping him out is one of the ways you can assist him. Unfortunately, while the two of you were supposed to make your way to the Restricted Section in the library, you were rudely interrupted. So now, because we have no patience, you will find a way into the library yourself. To help you on your quest, use this guide on Where to find Professors Fig’s Book in Hogwarts Legacy.

Hogwarts Legacy – Find Fig’s Book

To enter the Restricted Section in the library in the quest Find the Secret in the Restricted Section in Hogwarts Legacy. You must first obtain the defensive spell Incendio by completing Professor Hecat’s Assignment 1; we already have a guide on that, so all you need to do is follow this link. You can now begin the Find the Secret in the Restricted Section quest and find Professor Fig’s Book.

After you have completed Professor Hecat’s assignment, make your way to Professor Fig’s classroom in the Defence Against the Dark Arts Tower. Interact with him to start the quest; after this, you must find Sebastian Sallow. Sebastian will help you sneak into the library’s Restricted Section; however, this will be in the nighttime.

Enter the Restricted Section

You can then go to Central Hall at night and find him on top of the staircase, but before you make your way into the library, Sebastian will teach you how to use a Disillusionment Charm. You can now sneak into the library without the prefects stopping you, but you will need to get a Key from the librarian’s desk to enter the Restricted Section.

Once you have the Key, you can unlock the Restricted Section. After this, you can make your way to the lower level of the Restricted Section and cast basic spells to lure ghosts away; you can do this by destroying statues. At the basement level, you will be blocked by old armor; use a Reparo spell to fix it and clear the blockage.

After that, make your way down the spiral staircase, where you will find traces of ancient magic. When you investigate it, it will lead to a portal. When you enter the portal, it will lead to The Athenaeum; here, to cross the bridge, wake up the rune on the archway by casting a basic spell. After this, you must defeat guardians to make your way further. Once you’ve made your way through all the guardians, Professor Fig’s book can be found in the last room in the Restricted Section.
