How do you Make a Loom in Terraria?

Become a Master Manufacturer!

A loom in Terraria is simple in both design and practicality. Vital in the manufacturing process of silk, the loom helps players with any and all things silk, both making it and crafting things requiring it. This guide is more meant for new players than old. As any veteran of the game most likely already has this item in their own houses. While looms can be found and used in underground cabins, this isn’t the best way to use them. To make the most out of the loom, players will need to make one of their own to use in their settlements. Luckily, the process is very simple.

Making a Loom in Terraria

Starting off the process of making a loom is fairly easy. It’s just a matter of collecting the right resources. With the materials needed, the game is making it very clear that it wants you to have a loom readily accessible in your home. Needing only twelve pieces of wood to craft. getting these resources can easily be done in a day. It goes without saying, but any kind of wood will do for a loom, from Ebonwood to Shadewood.

From there its a matter of having a sawmill. If already procured, its simple from here on out. At the sawmill, simply craft the loom, and you are done. Ironically getting a sawmill is harder than getting a loom, as players need ten wood, two iron bars, and a chain to make one. Though with both tools created, players will have a lot more access to craftable items to create and help make a settlement.
