The Quiet Zone of a train has never looked more inviting

Your mission? Get to the train. The train is waiting for its passengers to board but you have to get the train running. Play in a team of 6, with strangers or your friends. Embark on a mission to beat puzzles around the factory. Use your trusty GrabPack hands to solve puzzles and shut doors. But beware, a monster is creeping around the floors of the factory. Is PROJECT: PLAYTIME Free-to-Play?

As of its initial release to the public, PROJECT: PLAYTIME is free-to-play. The game is currently in early access, with a planned date of a full access release in the first half of 2023. When the full release is accessible, the game will remain free-to-play. With the release date of December 12th, 2022, players can play the early access version of the multiplayer game with ease via the Steam app.

How to Play PROJECT: PLAYTIME

PROJECT: PLAYTIME is available to play on the Steam app. The game file size is 10.54GB, likely to increase in size upon its full access release. The game begins with a cutscene, showing unnamed characters in hazmat suits. Assigned as Resource Extraction Specialists, completing their job of extracting a large toy from the factory. But they are not alone. The Poppy Playtime monsters of Huggy Wuggy and Mommy Long Legs are picking them off one by one. As they attempt to escape in the train, the newest Poppy Playtime monster, unseen in the original game is introduced to us. Boxy Boo, a play on the jack-in-the-box toy.

There are 3 current Game Modes available, that are simply divided by the type of server you can enter. By hosting a game or joining a specific created server, you will enter the choice between 2 maps and to play in a LAN server or with friends.

  • Quick Play – Play with strangers in a random server.
  • Server List – Browse servers created by the public.
  • Host Game – Start your own server for others to join, strangers or friends.

PROJECT: PLAYTIME introduces players to a similar mechanic of the original horror game experience. Using the GrabPack as the main gameplay mechanic. However, unlike the linear storyline in Poppy Playtime, the PROJECT takes inspiration from the multiplayer horror game, Dead by Daylight. With players able to experience two sides of the horror, as a monster and a Resource Extraction Specialist.
