Players can get Cipher Decoders by playing in regular game modes outside of the Haunted Forest. Game modes that award Cipher Decoders include Gambit, Crucible, and Nightfall. Cipher Decoders open the rewards chests granted at the end of Haunted Forest activities.

Players will find five optional caches at the end of each Haunted Forest activity. The caches only open with Cipher Decoders, which drops randomly from activities and world drops. Each cache only requires a single Cipher Decoder to open it and can contain legendary gear, random rolls of Braytech Werewolf and Horror Story auto rifles, masks, and Festival of the Lost shaders. You can open up to five caches per Haunted Forest completion.

The Braytech Werewolf and Horror Story are two featured exclusive auto rifles for this year’s event. Make sure to mix up the game modes you play and do world events so you can get enough Cipher Decoders to open up all the caches.
