Okay, real question: when was the last time you actually saw a gigantic padlock locked with an oversized skeleton key? I’m pretty sure these kinds of locks and keys only exist in horror games these days, because no sensible person would lock something important with something so obvious. But I guess that’s the situation we’ve found ourselves in, so here’s where to find the key in Choo Choo Charles.
Where to Find the Key in Choo Choo Charles
When you first begin Choo Choo Charles, you and your companion, Eugene, arrive on the island of Aranearum to hunt down the mysterious train-spider monster (and perhaps uncover the whereabouts of Eugene’s missing son). Before you can explore the island proper, Eugene recommends checking out the train shed at the top of the hill above the docks, as there may be something within that can help.

Unfortunately, when you arrive, the shed’s door is locked, but luckily, Eugene has an inkling of where the key might be. Thus, you are assigned your first mission in the game, aptly named “Baby’s First Mission.” Charming.
Finding the Key
All you need to do to find the key to the train shed is follow the waypoint Eugene placed on your map. The waypoint in question points to a small shack up the hill to the east from the train shed’s front door. You should take this as an opportunity to familiarize yourself with the game’s map system, as you’ll be following a lot of waypoints going forward.
Follow the lamp-lit path up the hill to find the small shack that the waypoint was indicating. The door isn’t locked, so just open it up and step right in. You’ll find the key to the train shed right on the table, so grab it and return to Eugene at the train shed. Just interact with the front door, and you’ll use the key automatically to open it up, revealing that beautiful yellow train.
