Warhammer 40K: Darktide Road Map: All Upcoming Updates Explained

The future awaits

With the release of Warhammer 40K: Darktide, players have been enjoying the hack-and-slash action with friends. Though there is plenty of that in store, some players are keen to know more. Such as what to expect update-wise and future content. This can be neatly displayed in a roadmap, a blueprint to a game’s future. Road maps are a good way to set player expectations and tease things to come. The only question is, does Darktide have a roadmap to offer to players? We’ll be answering that, as well as what to expect in the future of Darktide.

Does Warhammer 40K: Darktide have a Road Map?

As of launch, Warhammer 40K: Darktide does not have a roadmap. However, during the beta phase of the game, developers Fatshark gave players a roadmap, and from that we can take a gleam as to what may come in the game’s future.

One of the biggest promises that Fatshark promised players was the addition of random in game events to spice up every mission. These in game missions, called Conditions, can happen at any moment, and can drastically alter the pace and atmosphere. These can include all lights going out throughout the entire map, to a ventilation purge. Conditions make sure that even the most well-oiled team dosen’t get too comfortable in a mission and keeps them on their toes. And with more on the way, players will never know what they’ll get whenever they head out.

Of course, new maps and weapons are a must, but as to when they will come out is anyone’s guess. It seems for now that Fatshark is prioritizing adding new missions to play through first and foremost.
