Disney Dreamlight Valley is shaping up to be a very fun and creative new addition to Disney game cannon. This life-sim style game clearly feels like it’s taking some pages out of Kingdom Hearts having you interact with so many of your favorite Disney characters. However, despite reportedly already a million players having played the game, technically the game is still in its early access phase. This means there can still be some issues when playing. Some bugs are easier to fix than others of course. If you’re playing “The Curse” quest, you may be having issues getting Merlin and Ursula to talk. Here’s how you fix the no option to talk to Merlin bug in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Getting Merlin to talk to Ursula
In order to further “The Curse” quest, you have to get Merlin to start talking to Ursula. There might actually be a few issues with this, both in-game and just a bug somewhere. Gameloft even has a suggestion that Ursula’s house might be in the way for Merlin to go talk to her. How strange and interesting. A very unique solution seems to be you can move anything with the “furniture function” in the game. So click on the furniture function button and move Ursula’s house and that should cause Merlin to move closer to Ursula to talk to her.
However, if Merlin still won’t do anything after that, then it may be a game bug that requires a slight reset. What seems to work for most players to fix this issue is just exiting the game. Make sure you’ve saved your progress so far of course. Completely log out and exit the game and then log back in and go back to where you last saw Merlin. This should reset the mission enough to get Merlin to start talking to Ursula.
Seems like an easy fix too good to be true, but so far this seems to do the trick and fix the issue almost immediately.
