What is a Bug Shiny Sandwich?
A Shiny Sandwich in general does not provide the standard benefits players expect when making sandwiches. When eaten, a shiny sandwich grants players a buff. Like the name implies, it gives players a greater chance of encountering a shiny Pokémon of a certain type. So a Bug shiny sandwich will increase the odds of players finding a shiny Pokémon that is bug typed.

How to make a Bug Shiny Sandwich?
Luckily, a bug shiny sandwich is fairly easy to make, as long as players have access to Nintendo Switch Online. A crucial ingredient in making these sandwiches is the rare Herba Mysticas. This is a fairly late endgame ingredient, as players must make significant progress through the main story to even unlock the chance to get this ingredient. After that, trainers must fight through five and six star raids to get this ingredient for sandwiches. With sweet, salty variations of the herb, it makes it even harder to get the right ingredients. However after the Herba Mysticas is acquired, the rest of the ingredients are easy to find across the region. To craft the bug shiny sandwich, players will need
- Cherry Tomato
- Two salty Herba Mysticas
While fairly easy to put together ingredient-wise, it’s how they have been put together that matters, the better the structure, the higher buff will be given out of three levels.
