In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, a new feature allows for your ‘mons to receive a boost. This new feature is called Terastallizing, and while it gives your ‘mons a beautiful, crystal exterior, it also improves their stats! But, while typically, Terastallizing is something you as the trainer would initiate, this isn’t always the case. In fact, there are certain areas where the wild Pokemon are automatically Terastallized. Read on for more information about these areas, and when they are scheduled to refresh.
What is the Refresh Time on the Tera Caves?
In Scarlet and Violet, there exist areas where the wild ‘mons are already Tera Type. This, of course, means that you won’t be able to capture them until you inflict enough damage. Risk and reward. But, let’s say you are looking for a specific Tera ‘mon, and they just aren’t showing up? You can always wait until the area refreshes their stock of ‘mons! This typically happens once per day, at midnight.

It’s currently unknown if you are able to “time travel,” so-to-speak, like you could to game the turnip market in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. If not, then you may have to legitimately wait until the clock strikes midnight to return to these areas and find new wild, Tera Type ‘mons.
