As a Pokemon trainer in the Paldea region for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, it can be easy to get a little overboard sometimes when it comes to capturing Pokemon. There are so many new and exciting Pokemon popping up all over, and the open world really gives players the feeling of freedom to go anywhere.
When your PC boxes start to fill up with Pokemon that you no longer wish to have, the humane thing to do is release them back into the wild. However, this can be a painstaking process when you can only release one Pokemon at a time. But is there a way to mass-release Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet? Read on to find out.
How to Bulk Release Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet
As it stands right now, gamers who want to mass-release Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are unable to do so. This is because the tool required to mass-release, Pokemon HOME, is currently unavailable for use in the game.
This is expected to change of course, as Pokemon HOME will be given functionality in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet in Spring 2023. Until then, trainers can still release their Pokemon, however, they will need to do it one at a time.

The good news is that once functionality is linked to Pokemon HOME, trainers will not have to dish out any funds to be able to mass-release their Pokemon. That is only a requirement if they wish to import their Pokemon from other games into the region of Paldea.
Until then, trainers will have to dial back the mass capturing – or just have to manually release their Pokemon one by one after a long capture session.
