What are Shiny Stones?
Shiny Stones are an Evolutionary Stone in Pokémon. The Evolution Stone is a consumable item used on a specific set of Pokémon to evolve them into their greater form. These Stones have been around since Generation 1 and fans of the Pokémon franchise will be used to seeing them and knowing how they work. For those playing Pokémon with the goal in mind to complete their Pokédex, it is crucial to find these Evolution Stones. The Stones that are available in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, some being purchasable, others hiding in secret, are:

Shiny Stone Pokémon List
Players only really need to find one Shiny Stone in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. The reason for this is that there is only one Pokémon that can be evolved using the Shiny Stone. This is Floette into Florges. Players can search for Floette but may find some trouble in obtaining. The alternative is to capture Flabébé first as this Pokémon is much more common and easy to get. Players should search the biomes covered in flowers as both Pokémon love to be around this.
Where to Find the Shiny Stone Pokémon: Floette
Floette is most seen in the Southern provinces of Paldea:
- South Province (Area Four)
- South Province (Area Five)
Floette can also be found in other areas of the Paldea region such as Asado Desert and up North at provinces One, Two and Three. However, we recommend that players such the Southern provinces first as it is easily achievable to get Floette in these locations, with average Levels of 15-20. Floette is a tiny Pokémon that can be very hard to see. We recommend that players do multiple sweeps of the areas, highlighted in the screenshot below. If this Pokémon still does not appear, leave and re-enter the area to change the spawns.
South Province Area Four
We recommend that players do a sweep of the Southern River, underneath the Mesagoza City. If Floette proves harder to locate than expected, players could try the longer route of capturing Flabébé first and evolving this Pokémon at Level 19 to get a Floette. By doing this, the Trainer has added three new Pokémon to their Pokédex. Flabébé can be found in the Paldea areas:
- South Province (Area Four)
- South Province (Area Five)
- Asado Desert
As Flabébé likes being near flowers, your best bet is to search the Southern provinces. These have a higher spawn rate than its evolved form, Floette. Players may have better luck capturing Flabébé first. Once Floette is obtained, simply use the Shiny Stone on it to evolve into Florges. That is the Shiny Stone Pokémon you can get in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. For more Pokémon content, see: Will Rayquaza be in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet?
