In a nutshell, the game’s setting is in a universe where 12 beings were risen from the void to create a peaceful and prospering land called Traum.

The land inhabitants worshipped these 12 beings as gods. One day, a 13th being called the Evil God Serpens rose from the void and began to cause chaos and suffering on Traum. The 12 beings gave humanity Runes and Essences to stop the madness. The plan failed, unfortunately, so the beings decided to bring Serpens back to the void; but it only worked for a short period of time.
