Developed by Stubby Games, The Entropy Centre is just around the corner. It follows the story of Aria, who wakes up on an abandoned space station and the planet Earth on the verge of extinction (through explosion, that is). Her partner is an AI entropy device called ASTRA, who has the ability to scan an object’s chronology and move it through the past. Their mission is simple: save the Earth by restoring its state back in time (hello, Superman?). Reminiscent to games like Portal, The Entropy Centre sure promises some first person puzzle solving fun and action. One is left to wonder, though, does The Entropy Centre have co-op or a multiplayer mode? Let’s find out before Earth explodes, shall we?
Does The Entropy Centre Have Co-Op?
Co-op puzzle solving games have proven to be a wonderful combination. Portal 2,Human: Fall Flat We Were Here Trilogy, you name them! Unfortunately, The Entropy Centre will not include any co-op or multiplayer mode. Furthermore, there are no plans to introduce a multiplayer mode in the near future. You can find more information on the game’s official Discord server.
In my opinion, a multiplayer mode is a nice-to-have asset, but it is not a dealbreaker. I pretty much prefer an excellent single player experience, story, gameplay and unique mechanics that will make me love the game than a rushed multiplayer mess filled with bugs, game breaking issues and a pay-to-win fiasco. With that being said, let’s hope everything goes well for Stubby Games and their game, The Entropy Centre. And who knows, maybe someday we will be able to save the Earth together. From exploding. By using a smiley face device.
The Entropy Centre is set to be released on November 3, 2022, on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Windows. If you like puzzle games, make sure to check out Top 5 Hardest Puzzles to Solve in Video Games (and How to Solve Them) and Top 15 Adventure Games With Puzzles.
