How to perfect Brewing in Potionomics

We’ll go in bullet points once more to better put across everything you should have best noted down when tackling this sector of the game. Considering just how important brewing is to the game’s design, it’s easily the most necessary aspect to the game to get your head round.

  • The general rule of thumb is to keep an eye on the magimins since this bar tracks how and when a tier up is possible.
  • You will not be able to exceed this bar until later on since the cauldrons in early game do not allow enough ingredients to tip it over the edge. You will be able to do this once you can level up certain cauldrons or if you strike gold in finding the rarer of ingredients. Purchasing the Ocean Cauldron from Muktuk after beating Roxanne is your very first step to make in early game to increase it to a total of 320 capacity with two upgrades.
  • Furthermore, this can and will increase as an ever-expanding margin total with other cauldrons allowing for well over 2,000 in capacity. As is the case for Potionomics, getting past its first hurdle tends to be the toughest part as the difficulty spike mellows out afterwards when more options and resources open up.
  • Always keep the margins stable or at least very stable. Anything lower will decrease the quality drastically. Remember that noting how many stars the potion will have upon completion is highly important. You want at least 4 but always aim for 5.
  • Furthermore, keep a note of the results tab bottom right to see what additional stars will be added. Bonus points can and are rewarded depending on how balanced the brewing is and how many potions you get from a single batch.
  • In the end, it is all a balancing game of maxing out every possible caveat and category involved in the brewing process. You’ll be needing to keep the balancing of compatible ingredient types and using the ingredient limiter to its full capacity.

Finally, remember to utilise all the NPC characters to make the process easier. This means for always going to Muktuk to either add or upgrade cauldrons and extend Quinn’s ingredient boutique so that all discovered items are always readily available from there.

To find ingredients, adventuring is necessary no matter how short of a trip it is. Once you unlock more Heroes other than Mint to request the assistance of, even more ingredients and destinations open up. Furthermore, Baptiste’s services are of high value to encounter the rarest of ingredients in early game.

Remember that the rarer an ingredient is, the more likely it will have positive traits and increase the magimin levels more quickly. You want those bonuses to stack so that your upselling skills are complimented by an eye-pleasing base price!

It takes trials and errors in actually perfecting the brews and potions you may encounter and come up with in Potionomics since the game is luck-based with RNG features. What you may have in hand at the time are different ingredients compared to other playthroughs, but finding the right ingredient combinations to max out the brews is what you will be aiming for.
