Darkwood is a challenging survival horror experience where every second of every day counts. You will need to explore past the Dry Meadow at some point, or else you will stay stuck there forever. The first other area you will explore is the Silent Forest. But you may be struggling with how to get there, there aren’t exactly any road signs. Here is how to get to the Silent Forest in Darkwood.
How to Travel to the Silent Forest in Darkwood
Through the Thicket
To get to the silent forest, first look at your map. You will notice a small passage connecting the Dry Meadow and the Silent Forest. Starting from your hideout, or any landmark, make your way southeast until you hit the border of the map.
In Darkwood, the borders of the map are blocked by the impenetrable growing forest, however, there are sometimes gaps in the borders that allow for further exploration. When you get to the edge of the map in the southeast area, look closely. You may notice that it is not the border of the map blocking you, but darkness and closely dotted trees.
Don’t be deterred by this. Keep walking through. It is recommended to have a weapon and a torch for what is to come at the very least. A healing item or two would be advised.

Unlocking the door
As you walk through the dense thicket, you will stumble across a building. Some doors are inaccessible, others are not. Walk into the structure through the entrance to the south. You may need to scale around the building to find it. The borders of the map pinch this building, the only way to get to the Silent Forest is through it.
You will find a generator. Turn it on to turn on the lights. Navigating your way through the two buildings will loop you around to a room that was unlocked from the start, through a side door. Be very careful. Equip your weapon. As you walk into the final room you will get ambushed by an enemy you will not have faced yet. Defeat it.
In that room will be a code for the two locked doors. The first one unlocks that room’s entrance for easier travel. The second door is in the northern room of the buildings to the right. Unlocking that door will open up the entrance to the Silent Forest. Good luck.
