Ensemble is a lesser-used perk in Destiny 2, but still one you should be aware of, regardless. Most players would consider it a B/A-tier perk for a variety of reasons, the least of which is the fact that you need to be playing with a Fireteam in order for the perk to have any effect.
We’re going to go over what Ensemble is in Destiny 2, what it does, and why it doesn’t see much META play. Despite that, you should consider it on any of your god rolls that don’t have any better alternatives or for weapons that need some help in the handling department.
Destiny 2 Ensemble – What it is and What it Does
Ensemble is a B/A-tier in Destiny 2 depending on what kind of player you are. Typically, you’re looking for ammo economy and damage-based/utility perks on your weapon god rolls. That’s why rolls like Subsistence/Adrenaline Junkie are so powerful, as well as rolls with Demolitionist. Ensemble doesn’t exactly fall within these categories, but it’s a decent perk, all the same.
When you have a weapon with Ensemble, it gets +30 handling and +40 reload speed when you’re within 15 meters of at least one ally. It makes your weapon fairly faster to play with, but it doesn’t break the game in ways a lot of other perks do.
Compare Ensemble to something like Subsistence, Incandescent, or Voltshot, and you can see why it’s not too popular of a perk. That, along with the fact that it’s absolutely useless for solo players. All the same, there are some situations where it may be ideal to run it over whatever other perks are available in the same column – just don’t go putting it on your crafted weapons.
