The DioField Chronicle is Square Enix’s latest RPG that mixes real-time strategy with in-depth character building. There are bruisers who fight up close and magic-wielders who cover the field in flames, but the Sharpshooters are arguably the strongest class. Rickenback is one such character, and her skill with a bow and resourcefulness with items make her a potent addition to any roster.
How To Play As Rickenback
Rickenback is the youngest member of the Blue Foxes mercenaries group, but that doesn’t mean you should count her out. She’s a powerful ranger who can utilize every bow skill in the Sharpshooter tree. Additionally, she sports a unique set of abilities that provide her with extreme flexibility when caught in the midst of battle.
Rickenback shares her skill set with Iscarion, which means she has access to all the same special attacks. Trip Caster is a vital tool in her arsenal, allowing her to set up a powerful explosive trap for enemies to wander into. And if you’re feeling impatient, you can always push them into it using Andrias’ Leaping Attack or Fredret’s Mounted Charge.
It’s also worth mentioning that attaching Iscarion as an adjutant gives Rickenback access to all of his equipped skills as well. This is a foolproof way to let either ranger use the entire suite of Sharpshooter skills. Upgrading weapons can put a desired skill out of reach, so it’s nice to still have access to both Stun Shot and Rain of Arrows.

Rickenback’s abilities are where she really differentiates herself. The Item Master ability is the most iconic of the bunch, boosting the effectiveness of items by 50%. This can be a lifesaver when stuck in a particularly difficult battle. She can also boost her base luck stat with Luck Boost, which works in concert with Fortune from Above to give Rickenback a healthy damage boost.
