How to Decorate Your Locker in Splatoon 3

These lockers are looking Fresh!

If there’s something that Splatoon 3 gets right, it’s the fact that it relishes in just being a fun game, all around. An element that greatly highlights that is the Locker Room and the fact that players are allowed to decorate and share their own lockers with the world.

Though, decorating your locker can be a tall task as there’s a lot that goes into even unlocking it in the first place. Today, we’re going to explain how to decorate your locker as well as how to unlock it, and how to check out other players’ lockers too!

How to Decorate Your Locker in Splatoon 3

When it comes to getting to the Locker Room, you’ll need to complete some Turf Wars in order to build up your level and eventually unlock it. Once you do though, it’s well worth the wait as it’s a fun experience to decorate your locker. While playing, you’ll also come across many items either purchased or earned, which can be used in your locker for decoration.

Let’s explain how it works!

  • First, start by booting up Splatoon 3.
  • Then, spawn into Splatsville and head to the Lobby.
  • From there, head to the Locker Room which is situated in between the Shell-Out Machine and the tube you go into to search for a match.
  • You will need to be at least level 4 to have access to the Locker Room.
  • You’ll also need to talk to Hotlantis at the General store before finally going into the Locker Room as she gives you the Catalog that you can use to purchase items for the Locker.
  • Now, assuming you’ve gotten your requirements out of the way, you can now enter the Locker Room.
  • When in the Locker Room, you’ll be able to visit other players’ lockers to view as well as decorate and customize your own.
  • When it comes to decorating your own locker, walk up to it and hit the A button to start interacting with it.
  • Just like with other lockers, hitting the ZR button will open and close it.
  • If you’re looking to decorate it, hit the + button to begin.
  • This will allow you to start choosing items to place in the locker.
  • Hit the X button to bring up your menu of items to use to decorate with such as clothes, weapons, or even collectibles.
  • You’ll also be able to put shelving in to create more space.
  • You can put things away by pressing the Y button or grab and move things around by pressing A.
  • Holding A will allow you to select and drag multiple items around the locker at once.
  • Grabbing items also allows you to change items’ position using the L, R, ZL, and ZR, buttons as well as the right stick.
  • If you’re looking to get a better view of things in the locker, be sure to use your up and down buttons on the d-pad to zoom in and out.
  • Items can be finicky, so when something won’t fit in the locker, you’ll see an X over it.
  • I found it best to drop things into place instead of trying to directly place them where you need them to be.
  • Once done, hit your + button to save!
  • To view another player’s locker, simply walk up to it and interact with it via your A button.
  • Additionally, you can open the locker and close it with the ZR button, give the owner a Fresh! compliment with the Y button, or report an inappropriate locker with the – button.

That’s everything you need to know about how to decorate your locker in Splatoon 3! Have fun!
