Are you looking for a list of new fish arriving in July in Animal Crossing New Horizons? Only five new fish are coming to the game in July for players in the Northern Hemisphere. There are three fish native to the sea, one you can find in the rivers, and another at the pier. If you play from the Southern Hemisphere, there are no new bugs or fish for you in July.
New Fish Arriving in July in Animal Crossing New Horizons
Here are the five fish coming to ACNH in July for Northern Hemisphere players.
- Sweetfish: all-day, rivers
- Pufferfish: all-day, sea
- Napoleonfish: 4 am – 9 pm, sea
- Ocean Sunfish: 4 am – 9 pm, sea
- Blue Marlin: all-day, pier
Sweetfish
The Sweetfish is a medium-size shadow fish that you can find in rivers during July. It’s available all day long, and there are no special requirements for catching it. It’s available from July through September. The only other fish that competes with this one is the Tilapia.
Pufferfish
The Pufferfish is a medium-size shadow fish that you can find in the ocean during July. It’s available all day long, and it’s a relatively common fish. You can catch this one from July through September. There are a few other fish of the same size, so be patient, and you will find one.
Napoleonfish
Napoleonfish are large-size shadow fish that you can find in the ocean. It’s available from 4 am to 9 pm during July and August. One thing to note is your controller will vibrate when you hook one of these. You’re likely going to catch a lot of Sea Bass before you find one of these.
Ocean Sunfish
Ocean Sunfish are large-size shadow finned fish that you can find in the ocean during July. Similar to the Napoleonfish, they are available from 4 am to 9 pm from July through September. Look out for the fin, and it will be easier for you to identify than most other fish.
Blue Marlin
The Blue Marlin is a fish you can find out on the piers all day long. You can catch one on your island, or off the docks on deserted islands. This fish is available from January through April, July through September, and November through December. You may have already caught one of these, but in case you haven’t, be prepared to capture hundreds of Sea Bass before finding one.
