Expand the Gungeon

Expand the Gungeon, by Apache Thunder, is one of the most popular mods on the market, due to the insane quantity of additions. New NPCs, guns, items, bosses, and even layouts to keep the gungeon fresh and infinitely replayable.

The new floors include the Jungle, the Old West, and the Belly, which comes with a unique boss, the interdimensional horror. Expand the Gungeon takes the madness of the base game and multiplies it, which makes it a must-experience for every Enter the Gungeon player that has started to fill out the Ammonomicon.

Frost and Gunfire

Frost and Gunfire truly ascends the base game. If Expand the Gungeon wasn’t enough for you, then this mod should satiate your tastes.

This mod delivers not only 9 new enemies, but a new class of enemies, the Champions, which will really put you to the test. With 250+ new rooms to explore, 55+ new items and a new character, the wanderer, you will feel as though you are playing the sequel to Enter the Gungeon. This array of new content also gives players a new boss, new shrines and NPCs, to truly keep the gameplay refreshing, replayable, and unique.

Planetside of Gunymede

Planetside of Gunymede is a colossal mod that fundamentally changes the game. Another overhaul mod, this mod adds not just one new boss, but five, with a tonne of other content to go alongside with them. This includes, a new NPC, 75 new guns and items, 13 new enemies, new shrines, and 250 new rooms to explore. If you’re a glutton for content, look no further than this mod.

Designed for the hardened veterans of the game, Planetside of Gunymede throws new enemies and shrines exclusive to Bullet Hell, giving players even more late-game incentive to succeed, elevating the base game in multiple dimensions.

Once More Into The Breach

Once More Into The Breach is an incredible mod that throws content at the player like there’s no tomorrow. With dozens upon dozens of weapons (including the Hwatcha?!) and a new character that’s hard to play but powerful, this mod will give you the feeling of playing the game for the first time as you say, “what the hell does that thing do?”

This mod, alongside new NPCs, shrines, guns, items, synergies, and more, also includes a new mode, the All-Jammed mode, that makes all your opponents stronger in every way. Fun!

Item tips mod

Not exactly a huge overhaul mod, but an incredibly useful one that can be integrated into the game and still deemed ‘vanilla’. Item Tips Mod adds a little description of the item in the top left side of the screen, allowing you to read more about each item, which is super useful and time-saving. Usually, players would have to look up the item in the Ammonomicon to receive only basic information.

By having this mod, not only will you save a lot of trips into the old book, but the Ammonomicon itself gets expanded information. So useful is this mod that other huge mods recommend you have this one downloaded.
