7 Best Talismans in God of War

Sinmara’s Cinder

Sinmara’s Cinder is one of the strongest and most lethal talismans in the game. This talisman gives Kratos the power to release a burst of flame that surrounds his entire body, protecting him and dealing incredible damage to his enemies in the process. Sinmara’s Cinder is extremely lethal, and different from other Talismans in God of War in the sense that it can be crafted with 14 Smoldering Embers and 17,500 Hacksilver.

Talisman of Cursed Power

This aptly named Talisman doesn’t do any physical damage, but it weakens your enemies to the point where it doesn’t even need to. The Talisman of Cursed Power, when used, releases an extremely toxic fog that surrounds and affects all enemies within the area. All enemies that are unlucky enough to be caught inside the fog will have all of their stats significantly weakened; all fogged enemies will become incredibly weak and vulnerable, which makes it much easier to kill them without taking damage.

Golden Talisman of Protection

As the name would suggest, the Golden Talisman of Protection is one of the best defensive Talismans in God of War. Once activated, this Talisman will mitigate any physical damage dealt to your person, and will even recover some of your lost health. The Golden Talisman of Protection is one of the best Talismans to have if you’re in a fight and need a quick boost; it may not deal any damage to enemies, but it does take away a lot of the damage that enemies deal you, which is even better!

Horn of Heimdall

The Horn of Heimdall Talisman is another great defensive Talisman; if you’re in the middle of a fight and you’re outnumbered, any bit of distance between yourself and your enemies becomes increasingly valuable. If you’re ever overwhelmed in a fight and you have the Horn of Heimdall, activate it to knock back any and all surrounding enemies! Not only does this Talisman knock back enemies, but it also does a good bit of damage to them as well; weapons that do extra damage are always welcome in a brutal game like God of War.

Talisman of Betrayal

The Talisman of Betrayal will, ironically, never let you down in a fight! This valuable Talisman allows you to slow down time mid-battle, which is incredibly useful if you need an extra few precious seconds to get your aim right. Aiming is everything in a game like God of War; missing a shot can mean your death, so be sure to always use the Talisman of Betrayal to make sure you hit your mark!

Shattered Gauntlet of Ages

This criminally underrated Talisman is an amazing offensive Talisman to possess, especially if you’re outnumbered in a fight. This Talisman will knock back and stagger enemies, so not only does the Shattered Gauntlet of Ages deal damage, it also puts some space between you and the enemy. Staggering your enemies is always a good strategy to use in God of War, because it gives you time to strike and take down your enemies before they can recover. Fights in God of War are rarely fair, but the Shattered Gauntlet of Ages Talisman helps even out even the most unfair fights.

Aegir’s Protection

Aegir’s Protection has to be one of the very best Talismans in God of War. This defensive Talisman, when activated, will allow you to put up an aura of protection around yourself mid-battle. This protective wall will mitigate all damage dealt by enemies, and it will also ensure all of your attacks can’t get interrupted by enemy blows; your attack combos are safe with this Talisman!
